Partner, Employee, and Member
Code of Conduct

Policy brief & purpose

Our Partner, Member and Employee Code of Conduct company policy outlines our expectations regarding the behavior of partners, members and employees, referred to as “Participants,” towards their colleagues, supervisors and overall organization.

We promote freedom of expression and open communication. And still, we expect all Participants to follow our code of conduct. They should avoid offending, participating in serious disputes and disrupting our workplace. We also expect them to foster a well-organized, respectful and collaborative environment.

Scope

This policy applies to all of our partners, members and employees regardless of employment/membership agreement or rank.

Policy elements

What are the components of a Partner, Member and Employee Code of Conduct Policy?

Company Participants are bound by their contract to follow our Partner, Member and Employee Code of Conduct while performing their duties, utilizing company facilities or resources, or participating in company events. We outline the components of our Code of Conduct below:

Community Standards

The Infinite Temple is a community space, and is charged with protecting and facilitating the livelihood of many independent artists, healers, and business owners. The company has formed Guilds representing the interests of the various types of members which we host. The Guilds advocate to the Luminis Creative Club (LUCC) board for their needs, and also vote alongside the board for punitive measures.

Covid-19 Specific

Sanitize hands before entering any company facility. Masks are to be worn in all public areas at all times. Masks may be removed in private areas in the following circumstances ONLY:

  • You are alone

  • You are with approved guests with whom you associate regularly and have answered the provided questionnaire

  • You and your guests have been vaccinated

  • Your guests remove masks, but you continue wearing yours and maintain distance, and sanitize your space afterward

  • You and your guests are outside and maintaining a distance

  • You and your guests are eating and maintaining a distance

All guests and clients must complete a Covid questionnaire and complete a temperature check upon entering the building. Any temperature above 99.0 degrees Fahrenheit is considered a fever and that guest will have to reschedule. Anyone found to be falsifying information on their questionnaires or with temperature checks will be banned from the building and the accompanying member or partner will be subject to membership or partnership review. Membership or partnership may be suspended or revoked, and fines may be imposed.

Substances and Alcohol

As was previously stated, The Infinite Temple is a community space, and is charged with protecting and facilitating the livelihood of many independent artists, healers, and business owners. It is also a frequent host to many individuals in recovery.

We do not allow alcohol, narcotics, or marijuana in the building.

We do not allow intoxication in the building.

Smoking is allowed in designated areas only, as there is a tendency for smoke smell to enter the building through air conditioning units.

Any Participants or guests found to be in possession or under intoxication of narcotics or alcohol will be subject to membership or partnership review. Membership or partnership may be suspended or revoked, and fines may be imposed. Guests will be suspended or banned, and the member accompanying them will be subject to review.

Property Damage or Theft

Participants involved directly in theft or property damage or as a result of guests will be liable for reimbursement for property damage or theft, and will be subject to employment, membership or partnership review. Employment, membership or partnership may be suspended or revoked, and fines may be imposed in addition to reimbursement. Legal measures may be pursued if incidents cannot be resolved in good faith.

Compliance with law

All Participants must protect our company's legality. They should comply with all environmental, safety and fair dealing laws. We expect Participants to be ethical and responsible when dealing with our company's finances, products, partnerships and public image.

Respect in the shared space

All Participants should respect their colleagues and collaborators. We won't allow any kind of discriminatory behavior, harassment or victimization. Harassment includes bullying, intimidation, direct insults, malicious gossip, gaslighting behaviors including especially denial of accepted responsibilities, and victimization. We can’t create an exhaustive list, but here are some instances that we consider harassment:

  • Sabotaging someone’s work on purpose

  • Engaging in frequent or unwanted advances of any nature

  • Commenting derogatorily on a person’s ethnic heritage, cultural or social identity, gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs

  • Starting or spreading rumors about a person’s personal life

  • Ridiculing someone in front of others or singling them out to perform tasks unrelated to their job (e.g. bringing coffee) against their will

Please additionally review our Less Than Zero policy.

Protection of Company Property

All Participants should treat our company's property, whether material or intangible, with respect and care.

Participants:

  • Shouldn't misuse company equipment or use it frivolously. Any lost, damaged or stolen property will be evaluated on a case by case basis and damages may be assessed if misuse is the cause.

  • Should respect all kinds of incorporeal property. This includes trademarks, copyright and other property (information, reports etc.) Participants should use them only to complete their job duties.

Participants should protect company facilities and other material property (e.g. company cars) from damage and vandalism, whenever possible while prioritizing personal safety.

Professionalism

All Participants must show integrity and professionalism in the shared workspaces:

  • Personal appearance

All Participants must maintain a reasonably presentable personal appearance when representing the company. As the company participates in public events which are frequently artistic in nature, we encourage Participants to express themselves accordingly while also maintaining professionalism, cleanliness and refraining from representations in clothing or costuming that may be discriminatory or offensive in nature.

  • Corruption

We discourage partners and employees from accepting gifts from clients or partners at any value more than a nominal expression of gratitude (a one-time cup of coffee or a thank you card is okay, frequent gifts like event tickets and dinners or large gifts like a car are not). We prohibit briberies for the benefit of any external or internal party. This does not apply to members unless they are acting as a representative of the company.

  • Job duties and authority

All partners and employees should fulfill their job duties with integrity and respect toward customers, stakeholders and the community. Supervisors and managers must not abuse their authority. We expect them to delegate duties to their team members taking into account their competencies and workload. Likewise, we expect team members to follow team leaders' instructions and complete their duties with skill and in a timely manner. This does not apply to members unless they are acting as a representative of the company.

We encourage mentoring throughout our company.

  • Absenteeism and tardiness

Partners and employees should follow their schedules. We can make exceptions for occasions that prevent employees from following standard working hours or days. But, generally, we expect employees to be punctual when coming to and leaving work. For employees and partners not electing to operate on a set schedule, check-ins and assignments must be completed at regular intervals, and meeting times must be respected and honored. This does not apply to members unless they are acting as a representative of the company.

  • Conflict of interest

We expect employees and partners to avoid any personal, financial or other interests that might hinder their capability or willingness to perform their job duties. This does not apply to members unless they are acting as a representative of the company.

  • Collaboration

Participants should be friendly and collaborative. They should try not to disrupt the workplace or present obstacles to their colleagues' work.

  • Communication

All Participants must be open for communication with their colleagues, supervisors or guild members within reasonable work hours and respond within a reasonable amount of time, within 48 hours unless otherwise arranged due to illness or other special consideration or incapacitation.

  • Benefits

We expect partners and employees to not abuse their employment benefits. This can refer to time off, insurance, facilities, subscriptions or other benefits our company offers. This does not apply to members unless they are acting as a representative of the company.

  • Policies

All Participants should read and follow any additional provided company policies. If they have any questions, they should ask their managers or Sedona Levy, our community director.

Disciplinary actions

Our company may have to take disciplinary action against Participants who repeatedly or intentionally fail to follow our code of conduct. Disciplinary actions will vary depending on the violation.

Possible consequences include:

  • Suspension or termination for more serious offenses. Suspension will include recommended remedial action as determined by the board of directors and possibly the general community of members.

  • Imposition of fines.

  • Detraction of benefits for a definite or indefinite time.

  • Withdrawal from company if equitable partner.

We may take legal action in cases of corruption, theft, embezzlement or other unlawful behavior.
